I received my undergraduate degree in Forestry at New Mexico Highlands University (NMHU). Currently, I am a graduate student also at NMHU where I am investigating nitrogen and phosphorus concentrations in stormwater runoff from various wildfire severities on the Las Conchas Fire in the Jemez Mountains of northern New Mexico. I am also interested in comparing and contrasting Light Detection and Ranging (LIDAR) technology with ground measurements to further develop methodology to standardize burn severity class post wildfire occurence.
