NM EPSCoR Helps Celebrate Earth Day in Taos

Amanda White, a postdoctoral scholar at NM Tech, talked to visitors at the Taos Earth Day celebration about EPSCoR's research into climate change impacts on Northern NM water. Amanda used a simple model to discuss some of her research interests which include semi-arid hydrology, mountain hydrology, ecohydrology, and climate change impacts on all three. Recently, Amanda has studied the cause and hydrologic effects of the piƱon pine tree death in the Southwestern U.S. using data mining and traditional statistical techniques to examine various types of satellite data.
